Where does my child receive dental treatment with general anesthesia?

Your child’s safety is our top priority. Some children with medical conditions or special health care needs are best treated in a hospital setting, such as Children’s Hospital – St. Paul. However, most healthy children are excellent candidates for general anesthesia administered by a board certified pediatric anesthesiologist right in our office at Carousel Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics. This means that our anesthesiologist is the same kind of provider that delivers anesthesia care in a children's hospital setting!

What Do Pediatric Anesthesiologists Do?

Pediatric anesthesiologists are medical specialists who have completed a minimum of 4 years of anesthesia residency training, as well as an additional fellowship in pediatric anesthesia, and bring to our dental office everything that is needed to ensure your child’s safety including all anesthesia equipment and trained nursing staff.
