We embrace new technology that helps improve your child’s dental visits!

Digital X-Rays
Dental x-rays are an essential part of your child’s oral health care which are needed to identify and diagnose oral conditions, typically cavities, and also to monitor growth and development. As pediatric dentists, we can’t treat what we can’t see, so a detailed x-ray image shows us precisely what's happening in your child’s mouth to determine the safest, most appropriate treatment.
We do understand that, as a parent, you may have questions or concerns about x-rays for your child. You'll be pleased to know that we use digital x-rays that emit about 80 percent less radiation than older film-type x-rays that you may remember from the past.
Since the x-ray images are digital, we can share them with you on our chairside monitor, allowing you to see any problems and better understand the need for treatment and how it will benefit your child.

Nitrous Oxide
Dentistry can be stressful for a child, and our goal is to do whatever we can to help him or her have a comfortable, positive, and pain-free experience with us. Nitrous oxide gas is a type of mild dental sedation that is perfectly safe for children when administered by our pediatric dentists.
Nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, is blended with oxygen and administered through a small mask that fits comfortably over the nose. Your child will sit back and breathe normally, and as they inhale, they’ll start to feel very relaxed and calm. Nitrous oxide does not put your child to sleep, and he or she will be able to easily hear and respond to any questions or directions.
The effects of nitrous oxide wear off quickly after we stop administering it, so there’s no lingering drowsiness after your child leaves our office. Nitrous oxide is perfect for anxious children, those with special health care needs, or children undergoing certain dental procedures.

TVs in Treatment Rooms
As parents and pediatric dentists, we understand how valuable distraction can be for children. With TVs mounted on the ceiling in each of our treatment rooms, we can help turn your child’s focus away from what’s happening so they can relax and have a pleasant, positive experience.
