When your child’s braces are first placed or adjusted, they may experience soreness or discomfort due to the pressure exerted on their teeth.
During orthodontic adjustments or when we tighten their braces, they might complain of some soreness. However, this discomfort doesn’t last long and can be treated with over-the-counter medications.
Most patients find that any discomfort decreases as their orthodontic treatment progresses.
